"I’ve been doing mat Pilates for over two years with Monika at Sublime in Wentworth Falls. I was a chronic low back pain sufferer after an auto accident and subsequent surgery. Pilates has been game changing. With an increase in core muscles and a persistent approach (there are multiple classes a week) my back pain has been significantly reduced and I can now do more physical labour without throwing myself out of whack for weeks on end. It’s a small class format which is friendly and motivating and Monika gives versions of a move so you can push yourself and not get complacent. I really enjoy the upbeat attitude of the class, the gentle pushes to keep going when it feels tough, and the community and friendships created within the class itself. They also other classes and I’ve really enjoyed cardio boxing 🥊"

But after a year at Sublime Pilates, I feel far more capable, very confident of my strength and balance. Our teacher Tahmour has a full knowledge of anatomy and how all the large and small muscles can support each other when used properly. She gives us close attention and loves to press us toward our best, but she works sympathetically with any limitations or sensitivities. She is also lots of fun. She is very attentive to your physical needs and will personalise certain moves accommodating your previous physical injuries. She arranges different levels of each move and encourages you to push as hard as you can to strengthen your muscles and body without causing any harm.
